Do not wait for leaders, do it alone, person to person.Mother Teresa
Outside of my work I spend my days studying clean eating, studying therapeutic plants, exercising and spending quality time with friends and family. The kitchen and garden are my playgrounds, I love making all things – work and home life – nourishing and beautiful.
I volunteer weekly at a school in pursuit of providing nourishing, warm, and healthy meals for young learners. I feed my creative soul with community art projects and by hosting beautiful gatherings.
I am a graduate of the Natural Nutrition Program from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and Nutrition Consultant through the American Association of Nutrition Consultants. My Bachelor of Science degree is in Communication Design and Instructional Technology from California State University, Chico.
In 2000, my career began as a Business Analyst and Project Manager for RWD Technologies (now GP Strategies). In 2004, I transitioned into Account Management for Visual Resource (now Astone) a Marketing Communications Agency, then for Fjord, the digital division of Cossette Communications.
In 2008, I took a risk and started a Nutrition Consulting practice in San Francisco. During that time I worked with Sage Femme Midwifery, Bay Area Family Wellness, Paradise Foods (now Nugget Markets), and the Eat Smart brand of Apio, Inc. I supported patients at the medical practice Whole Family M.D. and the patients of Daphne Miller, M.D., founder of Health from the Soil Up Initiative, and author of the Jungle Effect and Farmacology.
In 2014 my family moved to the Northwest, where I was born and raised. At that time I unexpectedly paused my practice as an opportunity presented at Cedarwood Waldorf School which I worked initially as a volunteer and then as a the Development Director, supporting the advancement and administration of the school operations. At the end of the 2019 academic year, I made the difficult decision to resign, and pursue my next venture.
